We had such a great weekend in Bear Lake, Michigan to witness Joe's mom and her new hubby get married! It was great getting to know Mike's kids even better, to catch up with other family members and to meet the people near and dear to Barb and Mike's heart! We took about 1,000 pictures and I even got pictures from most of the other family members to make an album for Barb and Mike! So I won't bore you with too many pictures, but here is a slide show of my favorites.
These are from the ceremony and dinner at Arcadia Bluffs. (click the little x in the bottom right corner of the slideshow to hide the add):

Our Summer Projects
Joe and I have had a busy summer with a couple of outdoor projects to keep us busy when we are not chasing Allie around, or traveling all over to visit family and friends. The first project, that Joe mostly did on his own was to insulate and drywall the garrage. It has made a huge difference in the temperature control of not only the garage, but also our bedroom, which is above the garage.

The other project that we worked on together with help from some neighborhood friends was to lay patio pavers to expand our backyard patio space. We are loving the extra space, love the fact that we saved thousands of dollars by doing it ourselves, and are pretty proud of how well it turned out! Now all we need is some new patio furniture, umbrellas and a swing to make the backyard complete!

Cheyenne Mountian Zoo
Robin came up for an impromptu visit from Costa Rica and Grandpa and Cici decided to come out for a visit too. We kept busy during their visit by going to the zoo, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, and out for dinner and a movie. It is always great when Allie's grandparents come out to visit and spoil little Miss Allie, and help Mommy and Daddy out by taking care of her! I only took pictures at the Zoo, but Robin took some at all our other events and I am eagerly awaiting her pictures :-) We decided to go to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs since it is a little higher and possibly would be a little cooler. And it was. The Zoo is very hilly (hence the mountain in the name!) and full of good tree shade. They have a very special giraffe area where you can be eye level and feed the giraffes. They also have a special section on Rocky Mountian animals. So enjoy the zoo pictures for now. The slideshow is of all the animal pictures.
