Grandma and Mike come to visit

Joe's mom and her husband Mike came out for a quick visit on their way to Arizona for spring break. They live in northern Michigan and needed a break from the long, cold, snowy winter and think that the Arizona sun is the perfect break. Thankfully with Joe's flight passes, they can stop here on the way and see us :-) We had a really quick and casual visit, with lots of yummy food and great conversation. We only took a few pictures and here they are:

Closet Makeover

I recently discovered a blog called simplemom and from that blog a book called "Organized Simplicity" Both are written by a mom of 3 who decided to share her method of living a simple life, decluttering and living your life the way you are meant to live. She is currently promoting a project on her blog called Project Simplify where every week she announces a different area of your house to simplify and declutter. Last week's Hot Spot was the master closet and I decided to join in and clean out, donate and trash items in my wardrobe that I no longer use!! Joe decided to go through his clothes too and here are the results:

This week we are working on decluttering Allie and Emma's toys!! So far all we have done is move the toys she is not currently playing with, or toys that we think are annoying, down to the basement. But that has created a mine field of toys down there that we will have to tackle at another time!
