My mom came for a vist this past week and I don't even have one picture to show for it!! So sad :-( Her visit was a much needed one to help me get the house ready for baby Emma's arrival. She helped me organize the closet and dresser in the girls' room, clean out the guest room closet and move all of Robin's stuff to the basement, wash and put away the newborn clothes we have for Emma and help out in numerous other ways with cooking, cleaning and of course playing with Allie!! Joe and I even managed to sneak off for a date night, it was much needed and wonderful to spend quality time with my hubby without the distraction of a 2 1/2 year old. It is always great to have my mom out for a visit and especially more meaningful now that we have kids!
So overall we are ready for little Emma's arrival. It's hard to believe that she could be here in as little as a month (since Allie was 2.5 weeks early Emma could really come any time in November!!!) We are ready to meet her, to see who she looks like and to see what her personality will be. Allie is getting excited too and is practicing taking car of her baby dolls. She is such a good little Mommy- feeding her baby play food, putting her down for a nap, putting her in her swing and taking her with us everywhere we go. Her babies are either named Emma or Baby, she will tell us, "my baby take a nap, be quiet!" or "my baby hungry." She has even started breastfeeding her baby and says, "my baby get my boobie." She then pulls up her shirt and puts baby's head near her "boobie"!!! It's pretty cute and she has started doing it now because our neighbor (who occasionally watches Allie) is nursing her 7 month old :-) I am sure she will be continuing this feeding trend once baby Emma is born!
I am feeling well overall. I am always tired, my belly is getting bigger every day, and I still need my anti-nausea meds to prevent throwing up, but I must say this pregnancy is easier than the last one for sure!! But that doesn't mean we are going to do this agian :-) Two little girls is enough for this family and 2 preganacies is more than enough for this body of mine :-) So be on the look out for the big announcement of Emma's arrival!
